Whisky #34: Bowmore 17yo

Another back-of-the-cupboard dram. Good slight smoky notes to the nose, bolstered by a clean watered-down disinfectant feel. There's a sprinkle of spice on the tongue and a creamy smoothness that I wasn't expecting; this is Islay restrained which, I have to admit, I rather fancied.
