Whisky #25: Glen Moray 12yo
Wine with your whisky? As the label says, 'mellowed' in wine barrels, Chardonnay rather than Jerez. And it's telling; a gentle citric vanilla-ness to the nose, flavour is same again with a sunny sweetness (almost a little bourbon-like?), there's a whisky warmness finally in the finish which is short-lived.
It makes for a pleasent aperitif but it's almost too soft for it's own good.
