Whisky #21: Talisker 10yo
Gawn sarf 'n pear shaped. The last few blogs have disappeared into the ether so time to drag 'em back kicking and screaming.
Fruity smoky aroma and that sparkling iodine look. And then, dram for dram, the best suckerpunch in scotch that I know; malted sweetness (with that creeping caramel) consumed by smoke 'n pepper. Perhaps it's had the edge taken off in recent years but this is still a punchy malt. A litre bottle sits in the cabinet. A new one is always standing by.
PS: Talisker visitor centre give you the dram before you go on the tour. Respect :)
