Whisky #6: Auchentoshan 10yo
Two word review; lemon oil.
Sixty-five word review; a lemony-vanilla aroma that follows through into the first smack on the lips, so light you can almost feel it evaporating. A trickle of malts across the tounge, slow released floral notes in a finish that comes back three or four times; sharp lemon, sweet perfume, aromatic oils.
A lovely light and complex malt. A refreshing change from my usual peat-laden tastebud busters.
Todays weather; bestilled calm, no storm imminent, outlook for weekend good with prospect of decent nights sleep on an orthapaedic matress.
